Are there restrooms?
Yes, on Essex Island, and public restrooms on Main Street.
Where can I park?
Parking on the street is free. First come, first served. There is also parking at the Safe Harbor Dauntless parking lot on Novelty Lane, a five minute walk from the Ferry to the Island.
Is there food available?
Yes, there is a restaurant (Siren) on the island. Additionally, Black Seal and Griswold Inn are Essex favorites.
How do I get out to the island?
Free ferry launch runs throughout the day.
Can I ride my bike?
Yes, you may bring your bike across to the island on the ferry launch.
May I come on my own boat?
Yes, transient slips are available at both Essex Island Marina and Dauntless (the sister marina just down the street).
Are backpacks allowed?
Yes, subject to search.
Is this event rain or shine?
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, they can be pushed down boat ramp onto the ferry launch.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, but there is a restaurant on site, and a small snack bar (cash only for snack bar).
May I bring my own alcohol?
No (unless you are a Safe Harbor customer with your boat on Essex Island.)
